Currency Information on Brunei Dollar - BND— Brunei Dollar – B$

One Brunei dollar is divided into 100 sen (‘cents’ in English). The B$ is pegged in equity to the Singapore Dollar at par by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, one of Brunei’s major trading partners. Like many currencies with the name “dollar” the Brunei dollar places a B before the dollar symbol to allow it to be distinguished from other dollar-based currencies. The currency was introduced in 1967.

Coins in the Brunei Dollar currency are available in the following denominations; 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 cents and banknotes; $1, $5, $10, $20, $25, $50, $100 $500, $1000, $10,000.
