Currency Information on Falkland Island Pound - FKP— Falklands islands Pounds – FK£

The FK£ is equivalent to the Pound sterling and both are used on the Falkland Islands, although only FK£ printed in Britain are usable in the UK.

Like many currencies which shared a symbol with other currencies, the Falkland Islands pound symbol is often seen prefixed with FK, to display the difference between currencies.

The FK£ is subdivided into 100 pennies and 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50p coins are in circulation, along with £1 and £2 coins. Banknotes are issued in denominations of 5, 10, 20 and 50 pounds.
